ITECH’s new SAS1100 solar cell matrix simulation software is now officially online: 100-channel control made efficient and clear at a glance!
Release date:2025.12.11Browse times:

The SAS1100 is a next-generation solar cell matrix simulation softwaredesigned for photovoltaic R&D and production-line testing. It supportscentralized control and monitoring of up to 100 channels, displayingreal-time IV and PV curves for each channel under different irradiance andtemperature conditions, as well as the MPPT tracking performance of inverters.

The software is compatible with ITECH solar array simulators such as IT-N2100,IT6600, IT6000, and IT-M3900, and is now officially available.

Three Key Highlights

Large-Scale Parallel Control: Centrally manage up to 100 channels on a single unit, supportingbatch commands, group management, and one-click synchronization, significantlyimproving test bench and production-line efficiency.

Real-Time Curve and MPPT Observation: Display IV/PV curves per channel, showing dynamicchanges under different irradiance and temperature conditions, with clearvisualization of inverter tracking paths, steady-state points, and perturbationbehavior.

Low Barrier to Operation: PC-friendly requirements, with optimized threading and cachingmechanisms to ensure smooth and stable performance even in large-channelscenarios.

Flexible Grouping & Mixed-Device Capability

  • Heterogeneous Mixed Grouping: Supports mixing different device models (e.g., IT-N2100 series array simulators with IT6600/IT6000/IT-M3900 programmable bidirectional DC power supplies) in the same test group.
  • Quick Re-Grouping for Same Models: Devices of the same model can be regrouped at any time, organized by operating conditions, test bench, or DUT type, facilitating parallel comparisons.
  • Group-Level Conditions & Synchronization: Each group can independently set illumination, temperature, list sequences, and protection thresholds, with support for synchronized start/stop within the group.

Key Features

  • PV Panel Modeling: Built-in and customizable PV models (Voc/Isc/Vmp/Imp, etc.), with import/export support, enabling easy reproduction of different part numbers and operating conditions.
  • Regulations & Protection: Provides device parameters, regulatory settings, and protection thresholds (overvoltage/overcurrent/overpower, etc.), allowing quick access to test templates.
  • Data Logging: Supports data acquisition and log recording; curves and key parameters can be exported with one click for reporting and traceability.
  • List Sequences: Supports multi-selection of PV and IT curves, executing various operating conditions sequentially using the LIST concept.
  • Ecosystem Compatibility: Plug-and-play, compatible with mainstream solar array simulators like IT-N2100, IT6600, IT6000, and IT-M3900; supports mixed-device and grouped control under a unified interface with different configurations.

A Proven Classic

The SAS1000 series, ITECH’s early 1–20 channel array simulator software(SAS1000: single-channel / SAS1000M: 20-channel), has been well recognized inthe market over the past 8 years. Its mature and comprehensive features includesupport for complex operating conditions such as dynamic cloud shading,built-in regulatory reports for various countries, batch data recording/export,template-based condition management, and one-click retesting. It is compatiblewith solar array simulators like IT6600, IT6000, IT-M3900, and IT-N2100, and iswidely used for inverter/microinverter validation, production line spot checks, and aging tests. This solid software and application foundation paves the wayfor the multi-hundred-channel upgrade in the SAS1100.

Test Case

On an array simulation platform composed of 40 IT-N2100 units, theSAS1100 ran stably on a standard PC (CPU: i5-1135G7; RAM: 16GB). Without saving reports, CPU usage remainedconsistently below 20%. Real-time multi-channel curve updates and batch commandexecution were smooth, fully meeting the requirements for long-duration,continuous, and stable testing.

Applicable Scenarios

  • Inverter/microinverter/string PV grid-connection adaptation and MPPT algorithm validation
  • Energy storage PCS and PV-storage integrated systems grid-connection and dynamic condition reproduction
  • Module/array production line spot checks, incoming material verification, and aging strategy design
  • Residential, commercial, and utility-scale PV plants: multi-scenario condition replay and fault-tolerance testing

ITECH offers a comprehensive PV testing portfolio covering R&D tomass production, including array simulators such as IT-N2100, IT6600, IT6000,IT-M3900, and software platforms SAS1100/SAS1000M. This helps userscontinuously improve efficiency, reduce costs, and manage risks ingrid-connection adaptation, extreme condition simulation, and performanceoptimization.
